On this day trip from Opatija, you'll uncover the beauty of Trieste, starting with a visit to the magnificent Church of St. Justus, the city's patron saint. Situated next to a medieval fortress on a hilltop, the church offers stunning panoramic views of the entire city and its rich architecture.

Afterward, you’ll head to the city center, to the famous Piazza Unità d'Italia, the largest open square by the sea in Europe. Here, you'll have the opportunity to soak in the lively atmosphere of Trieste, admire the elegant buildings surrounding the square, and enjoy a coffee at an authentic Italian café.

Finally, immerse yourself in the charms of Miramare Castle, perched dramatically on cliffs by the coast. Stroll through its romantic gardens, once the love nest of Emperor Maximilian of Habsburg and his wife, Charlotte, the Belgian princess.
